Kevin, I was looking at the JD4400 (now the 4600 and the Kubota L4310 4WD HST). The last quote I had for the 4400 4WD HST was $17681.00 last week in Sacramento California area. I changed my mind and decided to move up to 40-50Hp range. Question: Have you compared to L4310 and the 4600? Orchard growers, Ranchers and contractors in my area keep steering me to the Kubota. I plan to keep the thing 20 years. The $$ difference is not the deciding factor for me. The current financing is 6 months free and 7-5/8% for 5 years. Is there anything you know of that limits one machine verses the other? Some of the obvious differences: 4600 has a mid PTO option 4600 is 350lb heavier 4600 3PH lift is 200lb heavierMy next step is to drive both machines. -RM ....

both tractors,4600 and 341, seem to me very close in capabilities i dont have a kubota dealer close by and that plays a big part in my decision. ive used a kubota quite a bit and have no complaints. ive also used a yanmar 20hp and i dont think you could kill it (lauging). it just ran and ran and ran. i know that jd uses yanmar engines in the 4000 series but im not sure about the rest of the tractor. i dont think their is a difference in prices either, jd offers 10%down and 8.3fixed 60m ....
